What secret did you keep under wraps?

While we were in high school, I began dating my best friend’s brother without telling our families.

Why did you decide to keep it?

I didn’t want anything awkward to occur between my best friend’s and my relationship. Meanwhile, his parents were extremely against him having a partner until he moved out and/or got a job.

What happened when you finally revealed it?

My parents and my best friend were actually fine with it; his parents weren’t entirely happy about the idea, but they allowed it, since we both seemed happier together. What secret did you keep under wraps?

When I was younger I was in my cousin’s basement and accidentally knocked over a lava lamp, shattering it. I walked back upstairs and later when someone discovered it we all came to the conclusion that it had to be their dog that knocked it over.

Why did you decide to keep it?

I couldn’t let my family know that I broke something as cool as a lava lamp.

What happened when you finally revealed it?

I never did. I knew they weren’t going to punish the dog so I’m sure he was cool with taking one for the team.
