There's no place like home! The Villanova Theatre Department is now located in the brand-new John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, an 85,000-square-foot hub for performances, creativity, engagement and exploration for the University’s performing arts community.
The first-floor portico and lobby serve as the primary reception and event space for the building via the main entrance, a second-floor balcony overlooks custom chandeliers, and the third-floor Belle Masque rooftop terrace provides indoor-outdoor ambience for special events. The Reed Family Box Office is centrally located in the first-floor lobby. The building features improved accessibility features and restroom facilities.
The Court Theatre is an open format 200-seat theater that features flexible seating, a balcony and technologically advanced lighting and sound equipment.
The Topper Theatre is a beautiful 400-seat proscenium-style theater with tailored acoustics, state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and a 30-member orchestra.
The Smith Performance Lab is an intimate 75-seat performance space that features flexible seating and first-rate theatrical technology.

Check out this impressive setup by Debby Lau ('07), Coordinator, Individual Giving and Patron Events at Signature Theatre Company. Debby distinguished herself as a remarkably skilled stage manager during her time in our graduate program, and also during her many years working with our friends at The Wilma Theater. Not only is Debby an organizational wiz, she is also a dream to work with (ask anyone who knows her!) 💙 #onceawildcatalwaysawildcat #novanation

It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World. The first musical from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County), this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make.
Wondering what's to become of our former home in Vasey Hall?
"Villanova's newly created Prince Family Veterans Resource Center—which will be located in a newly renovated space in Vasey Hall and is expected to be completed by Fall 2021—will provide the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members with a presence and greater visibility on campus, as it serves as a liaison, advocate and advisor to current and prospective student veterans, alumni and other Villanova community members. It will also serve as a one-stop location for veteran-focused programming, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefit and career counseling and military-to-civilian transition." #VeteransDay
We are honored to have had incredible veterans in our graduate theatre program and are eternally grateful to all veterans for their service. ❤️🤍💙

When you bring angel wings for your students to use in a scene sometimes you gotta try them on to make sure they work... right? ☺️ @villanovatheatre
Well, Tina, you made it look easy! Hear about the unique challenges of digital theatre from our Agave in BEGINNING, Tina Lynch (who just passed her thesis!). "We all had to be actors as well as our own ASM and technicians. It is hard to act in your own living room. As a performer, when you aren’t on stage, you are in a room, technically by yourself, and acting to a screen it is VERY different than being on stage in front of an audience...I found that my saving grace and “way in” every night was through Angela, my scene partner." villanovatheatre.org/meet-the-cast-tina-lynch-agave-in-beginning/
