Get Your VIP (Villanova IN PERSON!) Pass to the 2021-2022 Season
WHAT IS THE VIP PASS?
A new way to support and engage with Villanova Theatre in the upcoming season. For one flat price, you can attend all productions in our 2021-2022 season.
SO HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM A SUBSCRIPTION?
In a typical subscription you’re selecting the shows you want and often renewing into specific dates and seats. This model provides more flexibility - you can choose to come on ANY date and sit in ANY seat as long as there is availability. You aren’t beholden to things like preview performances, specific price zones, or days of the week, and you can still exchange your tickets as many times as possible with ZERO fees or upgrade charges.
Think of it like this: A VIP Pass allows you 1 ticket for every single performance day/time in our season, should you be interested in coming.
WHAT IF I HAVE 2 (OR MORE PEOPLE) I USED TO SUBSCRIBE WITH?
Each person must have a VIP Pass associated with their name to enjoy this unlimited access, so a couple who always attends together should consider purchasing 2 VIP Passes.
BUT WHAT IF I LIKE HAVING MY DATES SELECTED?
We are happy to do that for you! Please select that option, along with your preferred day of week, and we’ll choose the corresponding date for each project and slot you into the best seats available. You can always exchange if conflicts arise.
BUT WHAT IF I WANT MY OLD SEATS?
Given our new home in the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, our seating configurations for the upcoming year are going to be a little different, so we can’t guarantee our seating will be the same as the year progresses. However, we are happy to help select similar seats for you whenever possible. Just let the box office know your accessibility needs and seating preferences. At this time, our seating for the 2021-2022 season will be general admission.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
A full price VIP Pass for the 2021-2022 season is $100, however we want to also offer a price that may be more accessible at $75 for Villanova University faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
WHAT SHOWS ARE INCLUDED IN THE VIP PASS?
You can use your VIP Pass to attend any performance in the Villanova Theatre Season. These passes are not redeemable for other events occurring in the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts.
HOW DO I BOOK SEATS USING MY VIP PASS?
You can select your dates and seats when you purchase your VIP Pass. Alternatively, you will also be able to log in to your account online and our system will automatically recognize you as a VIP Pass holder. You’ll then be able to redeem 1 ticket to any performance (or more, depending on how many VIP Passes are associated with your household). You can also visit or call our box office and we’d be happy to reserve those seats for you.
WHAT ABOUT TRADITIONAL SUBSCRIPTIONS?
Given the shifting nature of our season and our seating configuration, traditional full season subscriptions are not available for 2021-2022.
WILL STREAMING OPTIONS BE AVAILABLE?
We are dedicated to keeping our performances flexible and accessible after successfully streaming our full production season during the pandemic. At this time, we are investigating streaming options and will keep audiences apprised of our progress on this offering.
WHAT ARE YOUR SAFETY PROTOCOLS?
We are committed to providing a safe environment for our faculty, staff, students, artists, and audiences and will continue to follow national, state, local, and university guidelines. Villanova University has mandated vaccination for our on-campus community, increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization, and equipped our facilities with MERV-13 filters. At this time, we will be requiring masks for all audience members during performances.
WHERE ARE THE PERFORMANCES?
Villanova Theatre is now located in the brand-new John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, an 85,000-square-foot hub for performances, creativity, engagement and exploration for the University’s performing arts community.
Conveniently located at the intersection of Lancaster and Ithan Avenues on the Villanova University campus, parking is available in the I-1 Ithan Avenue Garage behind to the building, which can be accessed from both Ithan and Lancaster Avenues.
The Court Theatre is an open format 200-seat theater that features flexible seating, a balcony and technologically advanced lighting and sound equipment.
The Topper Theatre is a beautiful 400-seat proscenium-style theater with tailored acoustics, state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and a 30-member orchestra.
The Smith Performance Lab is an intimate 75-seat performance space that features flexible seating and first-rate theatrical technology.
The Reed Family Box Office is centrally located in the first-floor lobby.
The building features improved accessibility features and restroom facilities.
