Muswell Hill
by Torben Betts
directed by Harriet Power

February 12-24, 2013

A U.S. Premiere

It is 2010. An earthquake in Haiti leave one hundred thousand people dead and two million homeless. The tragic news erupts on Facebook, trends on Twitter, and instantly becomes a Wikipedia article. Meanwhile, in a posh London suburb, six "connected" people wrestle with their hunger to love and be loved as they obsess over work, weight, and what's for dinner. Betts' tart, timely skewering of contemporary communication weighs the promise and limitations of technology with remarkable wit, revealing profound truths about the struggle to be human in a dehumanizing age.
