Speaker's Series
Don't be afraid to talk back! Join Villanova Theatre students and audience members for a brief lecture and Q&A session with an invited guest speaker is held on the first Sunday of every run, directly following the performance. Topics range from the show's themes and contextual information about the world of the play to an insider scoop on the rehearsal process and casting choices and much more! The show’s director and dramaturg are also present to field questions.
Drinks with the Dramaturg
Relax and un-"wined" on the second Friday of the run of each show with the production's Dramaturg for an informal pre-show conversation from 7:15-7:45pm.
Guests are invited to ask questions pertaining to the show or the dramaturg's research on the playwright, production history, major themes, artistic concept, rehearsal process, etc. and interact with the lobby display. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and drink deeply from the robust dramaturgical resources available at Villanova Theatre!
Lobby Displays
Step into the world of each production by visiting the lobby before the show and during intermission! Experience sights, sounds, activities and art curated by the Dramaturg, designed to distill and illuminate the production's themes. Often interactive and always engaging, lobby displays are meant to provide context for the show you're about to enjoy.
